Initial Revision Overview

The first major revisions for the initial prototype are summarized below:

  • May need better locking mechanism to keep lid from sliding

  • Need lid to come fully off to replace the washable inserts

  • Need to choose a specific plastic for the inserts that can withstand the heat used in sterilization

  • Too bulky

  • Potentially too heavy

Thus, the following revisions were made:

  • Reduced height and width for a more sleek design, reducing the bulkiness and weight

  • Improved lid to be completely detachable, yet only slide on where it's intended

  • Created a slightly tighter notch design

  • Applied specific PP and PE plastics appropriate for sterilization

  • Analyzed and tested the overall system mass, including water

    • Using the initial pretotype, created a system mass equivalent to the revised version (~0.1lb) and tried playing; no major difference was noticed
